For Hosts Only!!

Today I have two cards for you.  Both are "Host" only sets.  The first one is from our Holiday Catalog.  It is called Seasons of Whimsy and has 10 fun and whimsical images.

Here is a look on the inside.

In order to receive this stamp set or any other "Host" set, you must place a qualifying order of $150 or more through my online store.  You then can choose this set or any other set with your hostess benefits.

In the City is another one of our awesome "Host" set.  This set actually has 60...that's right 60, photopolymer stamps in this set.  Just thing of all of the possibilities.  It's endless.

Smitten Mittens

This card happens to be one of three projects that my club members made in October.  (If you are local to Canton, MI and would like to join one of my Hostess Clubs, email me at julie48188@gmail.com.)

Tips & Tricks

  • First, I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the snowflake.
  • I cropped out a mitten with Whisper White CS using the "solid" mitten frame lit.
  • I cropped out a mitten Real Red CS using the "detailed" mitten framelit.
  • I attached the two together with Tombow glue and adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Here is a look on the inside.

  • I used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to create the ruffle under the DSP.  (The Decorative Ribbon Border Punch is like having two punches.  The top and the bottom have different ruffles.)

Smitten Mittens Bundle is one of my favorite bundles from our 2017 Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set and the framelits are sold separately, however when you purchase them as a bundle, you save 10%.

This Little Piggy

Doesn't this card make you smile?  I designed this card a while back for one of my Breakfast Club Classes.  It was such a big hit with my friends that I couldn't let another chance go by to share it with my readers.

Tips & Tricks

  • I stamped the image with Black Archival Ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock that I had cropped with the Triple Banner Punch.
  • I stamped a second image on a piece of Shimmer White card stock.  I watercolored this image with Powder Pink ink using my favorite Aqua Painters.
  • The little piggy is fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.

Oh Joy, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

I love the look of Soft Sky and Silver for Christmas!  Don't you?  Oh Joy is a sentiment out of the Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set that is designed to coordinate with our Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.  (Stampin Up kits are perfect for those crafters that want quick and pretty results.)

The sentiment is the only stamped image on this card.  All the other elements were cropped out with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

Tips & Tricks

  • First I embossed the Whisper White card stock with Winter Wonder Embossing Folder and added Dazzling Diamonds to the snowflake.
  • I cropped out all three snowflakes using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.
  • I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver Embossing Powder and cropped it out with the Stitched Framelits Dies.
  • The scalloped oval is from Stampin' Up's Layering Oval Die Collection.  (A must have in my opinion.)
  • Of course, a card is not finished until the inside is done.

The Watercolor Christmas Project Kit includes all the supplies to make 20 beautiful cards.

Happiest of Days

I love the look of watercoloring.  I think I like it because you really cannot mess it up.  It makes you feel like you are a true artist.  Stampin Up makes it really easy for us with the Aqua Painters.  If you haven't used them before, you really need to try them.  They are so easy to use.  All you do is fill the barrel with tap water.  Squeeze the barrel sightly to release some of the water and "paint" over the surface that you want to watercolor.  Then, simply add color by either using reinkers or the inside top of the stamp pads.  Here is a tutorial on watercoloring.

Count My Blessings Birthday

This is one of those stamp sets I didn't think I needed.  Now, I can't get enough of it.  Has that ever happened to you?  I love how this card turned out.

Tips and Tricks
  • Card base is 4-1/4 X 11, scored at 5-1/2 (very vanilla cs)
  • 1st layer is 5-1/4 X 4 (Pumpkin Pie CS)
  • 2nd layer is 5 X 3-3/4 (Very Vanilla CS, embossed with pinewood planks embossing folder)
  • 3rd layer is 1-1/2 X 5 (Spooky Night DSP)
  • Add a strip of Gold Fold next to the Spooky Night DSP
  • 4th layer is 3 X 3 (Pumpkin Pie CS, cropped with Layering Squares Thinlits Dies)
  • 5th layer is 3 X 3 (Watercolor CS, stamp image with Versamark and emboss with Gold Embossing Powder, color with Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzaz ink using a blender pen, crop with Stitched Framelit Dies)
  • Stamp an additional floral image on Watercolor CS, emboss and heat with Gold Embossing Powder.  Fussy cut the flower and place on top of the original flower and just adhere the stems with glue so the flowers remain loose.
  • Stamp the "Happy Birthday" image on a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 1/2 X 3-1/2.  Place dimensions on the back and add a piece of vellum cut at 3/4 X 3-3/4.  Adhere to card.
  • Add a bow using Gold 1/8" Ribbon.
